(1) If there is any error in the details mentioned in the identity card or if the details need to be added or subtracted, the concerned person shall submit an application to the designated body or authority in the prescribed format to correct or add to such details.
(2) Details can be corrected on the basis of the application under sub-section (1).
(3) The identification number shall not be changed when the details are corrected in accordance with this section.
